It’s been over a month since my last Project Use-It-Up update. LOTS of progress has been made since June 21st! I have now used up 4 out of the 5 items I included in this challenge.
Last time, I had only finished the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Since then I also used up the Too Faced Lip Insurance, Sonia Kashuk Sheer Pink Lust lipstick, and the Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells trio! The Shadow Insurance and Lip Insurance are long gone and since I included them in my last Empties, I threw them away so they’re not shown in today’s picture.
I’ve never used up a lipstick before (at least as far as I can remember), so I was so excited when I finally finished off the SK lipstick! I really loved this product, so it wasn’t hard to use it up. I might repurchase it someday, but right now I want to focus on using up more of my lip products. Even though I loved this lipstick, I’m happy to see it go because it means I fully enjoyed the product and I got my money’s worth!
You can see that there is still a tiny bit of shadow remaining in Walking on Eggshells, and maybe this is cheating, but… I’m calling it quits on this one. It’s gotten to the point where it’s really difficult to get the shadows onto a brush, and I just don’t think the effort is worth the $4 I spent on this trio years ago. Regardless, I loved this trio and got lots of enjoyment out of it.
So now, all I have left is this stinkin’ Wet n Wild Megalast eyeliner… You can see I’ve made quite a bit of progress since last time despite my hating this liner. I’ve been using it every single day and even dipping into it with an angled liner brush to create a winged effect has helped me use it more quickly (although it’s not opaque enough to draw a desirable wing in my opinion.)
Since the liner is the only item remaining, I’ve decided to wrap up this use-it-up project and roll it over into my new (drumroll please…) Finish 13 By Halloween challenge, which I started just over a week ago and will be documenting on my YouTube channel. The Wet n Wild liner is part of that project, even though I know I’ll finish it long before Halloween. I’ll be so happy when it’s completely gone!
So, that’s all for this Use-It-Up challenge, but if you enjoyed following my progress be sure to check out my Finish 13 by Halloween series!
